Bryan Allegretto has 15 years of experience in mountain weather forecasting. He is the founder of TahoeWeatherDiscussion.com, a Partner & Forecaster at OpenSnow.com & OpenSummit.com, founder of Tahoe Weather social media, as well as co-founder of The Flakes podcast.
Bryan is a frequent guest on local radio and television programs, a guest speaker at business & industry events, and has been featured in industry movies, publications, & broadcasts including Powder Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, NPR, Matchstick Productions, & more, where he shares his passion, forecasts & research for mountain weather & sports.
Bryan is an avid snowboarder, & hiker. He lives with his wife & 3 children in the Lake Tahoe area. They spend their winters skiing & boarding, and their summers hiking & visiting National Parks, 51 of 62 so far!
Bryan studied Meteorology at Kean University & also has a Bachelors degree in Economics from Rowan University. He grew up in NJ before moving to Lake Tahoe after finishing college.
Mikhail Korotkin has a Bachelors degree in Atmospheric Science from Berkeley and is about to complete his graduate degree from the University of Nevada in Reno. He is currently a weather model analyst for the Desert Research Institute & researcher for Weather Extreme.
Mike grew up in South Lake Tahoe and is an avid skier & hiker. He spends his summers hiking the Sierra Nevada mountain range and has a goal to hike every peak. In the winter he loves to chase powder and camp out in the parking lot of ski areas to get that perfect day.
Mike met Bryan at one of Bryan's speaking engagements during the 2018-19 season. They have been good friends ever since and obsess over their shared love of the mountains and weather forecasting. Mike is the co-founder of The Flakes podcast.
